City National Bank’s Tim Whittaker promoted to Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking

Charleston, West Virginia (May 20, 2026) – City National Bank and City Holding Company are pleased to announce the promotion of longtime employee and commercial banking leader Tim Whittaker to Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking.

Whittaker joined City in 1998 as Credit Officer. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer since 2004. In this new role, Whittaker manages City’s commercial lending department.

Whittaker is a graduate of West Virginia State University and a Certified Public Accountant. He and his wife Amy reside in Teays Valley and their two daughters, Emma and Abby, are students at WVU. An active member of his community, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Charleston Area Alliance and is a member of Dunbar United Methodist Church.
