Building Better Communities Together
At City National Bank, our commitment to our customers goes well beyond serving their financial needs. We serve our communities through charitable contributions, volunteerism, financial education efforts and developing special products that meet the needs of those in our communities.
Charitable Contributions
City supports hundreds of charities annually, including social service agencies, community and economic development groups, cultural and arts organizations, and other programs that address the specific needs of the communities in which our customers and employees live and work.
Volunteering
Serving our communities by giving of our time and talent is an important part of City’s culture, and our employees collectively donate thousands of service hours each year. City employees volunteer for a variety of organizations and community events, and many serve as trustees, directors and advisors on boards for local organizations.
Financial Education
At City, we believe it is our responsibility to play a role in the financial education of people throughout our communities. Our employees spend time in schools, community organizations and senior centers leading financial education programs like Teach Children to Save, Get Smart About Credit and Safe Banking for Seniors.
Products & Services
Financial institutions carry many of the same products, but not all community banks are the same. City National Bank employees maintain strong relationships with customers and are in tune with the needs of local citizens.
- In recognition of a need, we were among the first banks in the country to introduce an innovative checking option, Bounce Back Checking, for individuals who have been denied the opportunity to open a checking account and are looking for a fresh start.
- Our City Start Mortgage program helps first-time buyers with low to moderate income realize their dream of owning a home.
- We offer special accounts for seniors, teens and community heroes like veterans, first responders, school personnel and medical professionals.
2026 City Cares Winners
Each year, City recognizes employees who demonstrate a commitment to community service with the City Cares award. Earlier this year, four employees were selected for this prestigious honor after being nominated by their peers. This year’s winners are:

Winners are recognized with a $1,500 donation to a charity of their choice and a City Cares lapel pin.
